Description
As a behavioural economics consultant in the Behavioural Economics team, you will assist in the execution of projects related to behavioural analysis, prototyping and behavioural change initiatives. This will require the application of behavioural economic thinking, theory and logic to problem-solving across a range of contexts, industries and client objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
The role includes but is not limited to:
Client Management
- Advise clients of implement changes and anticipate effects on customer behaviour
- Build relationships and work seamlessly with colleagues across the company and ensure that relationships are built with credibility and trust
- Maintain professional relationships with a variety of experts and external bodies
Project Design and Implementation
- Uncover and challenge client assumptions, intuitions and prior knowledge
- Design and conduct behavioural experiments across all channels where investments businesses intersect with its customers
- Create a narrative suitable to the client lifecycle and appropriate scripting per campaign, based on the brand collection, selection and purchase behaviour
- Monitor and document change measures of impact and adjusts approach where necessary
Project Management
- Ensure projects are managed within the allocated budget
- Manage the production of the required deliverables
- Prepare and maintain project, stage and exception plans as required
- Able to meet the demands of multiple clients simultaneously and manage complex projects
- Liaise with clients and provide regular updates
Analysis
- Investigate and identify key behavioural trends across channel, product, segment and industry
- Statistical analysis for behavioural experiments across all channels
- Quantify the results of interventions
Reporting
Prioritise findings and distilling key insights and proactively propose key opportunities and threats to the business based on key findings
Teamwork
- Facilitate internal brainstorming sessions
- Collaborate with external suppliers, product designers, marketing and communications to design, develop, conduct and evaluate projects and proofs of concept
- Encourage team members to express their views, resolves issues raised by the team, escalates issues if required, and provides feedback to teams on an ongoing basis
- Develop and maintain an open communication channel and supports colleagues to foster greater co-operation and teamwork
- Ensure colleagues are appropriately and consistently rewarded and recognised for their achievements and outputs
Ongoing
- Stay current on relevant trends and developments in behavioural science and in any other related field
- Find and synthesize relevant research across behavioural science-related fields and use this to better understand targeted behaviour

Experience:
This role is for someone who is early in their career, with 1 to 2 years’ worth of experience in behavioural economics, preferably as a behavioural economics consultant.
