Description
One of our international clients in the freight logistics industry is looking for a seasoned and experienced Warehouse Manager. Essential requirements for this opportunity is : Tertiary qualification in Warehousing, Stock Control and/or Logistics, Min of 10 years warehouse management within the Warehousing/Logistics environment, working knowledge of Cargowise and a Forklift/Reach Truck License. Desired Experience & Qualification
Responsible for the Management, Control and efficient running of the Johannesburg Warehouse
Ensure all Warehouse processes are running smoothy and promptly
Oversee the receipt and dispatch of goods, stock control storage and documentation management to identify and locate goods efficiently to maximise performance and increase profitability
Co-ordinate the daily activities of all employees
Liaise with customers to ensure needs are met
Managing and controlling the receiving, warehousing and distribution operations in line with company policy
Develop, implement and ensure compliance to warehouse processes, policies and proceduresm
Maintenance of Warehouse hygience and the overall Health and Safety of the branch
Responsible for the management of all warehouse equipment and ensure regular maintenance and upkeep
Monitor and track performance and whereabouts of Company fleet and manage the maintenance of the fleet
Maintain accurate and detailed records and ensure compliance to SARS, where necessary
Inventory management and stock control is conducted on a regular basis and variances reported, investigated and resolved
Print stock on hand weekly and forward to floor supervisor to check/reconcile
Liaise with the Warehouse supervisors daily and communicate activities and tasks for the day
Make suggestions and recommendations to improve quality assurancess process
Responsible for the investigation into invoice queries regarding booking in errors and stock errors
Ensure all invoices/delivery notes are ready for end of month accounts
Ensure information is captured correctly and timeously on Cargowise
Duties & Responsibilities
Grade 12
Tertiary Qualification in Warehousing, Stock Control and/or Logistics advantageous
At least 10 years warehouse management experience within the Warehousing/Logistics environment of which at least 2 years is at Senior Management Level
Expert knowledge and understanding of Warehouse Management Procedures
Knowledge and understanding of Bond Warehousing advantageous
Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls
Fleet Management
Working knowledge of Cargowise / SAP
Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety
Proficient in MS Office
Forklift / Reach Truck License
Unendorsed drivers license
