Description

Thomas More College is looking to appoint a Foundation Director and Past Pupils Co-Ordinator. The role is envisaged to fall within the broader Marketing Department but will report to the High School Headmaster (operationally) and the Past Pupils’ Association (PPA) Chairperson (strategically). The role would exhibit day-to-day operational functionality in the Past Pupils’ Association and Fundraising (with specific reference to the TMC Foundation & the TMC Education Trust).

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attract and communicate with potential donors/benefactors to solicit their support by becoming a regular financial donor/benefactor to the school.
  • Build rapport with potential donors from large corporates to past pupils, providing an excellent engagement experience and creating an environment increases the potential for ongoing relationships.
  • Meet monthly/annual targets as prescribed by the Board of Trustees, prepare and monitor the PPA budget.
  • Ensure the effective and accurate administration, recording, and processing of all donations/funds received.
  • Create public awareness to support Thomas More fundraising initiatives.
  • Perform administrative duties related to the TMC Foundation, PPA and the TMC Education Trust.
  • Perform ad-hoc operational duties as required by the PPA Committee & Exco in the Alumni space.
  • Contribute towards and enact the short-, medium- and long-term strategies of the PPA Committee.
  • Attend all PPA events and be the ‘face’ of the PPA.
  • Attend TMC events that may have potential for alumni relations.
  • Perform hosting duties for Alumni visiting the campus, including campus tours and staff “meet and greets”.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Tertiary qualification in a marketing related field OR experience in Alumni Relations/Fundraising.
  • Code 8 Driver’s License.
  • Fully computer literate & experienced with content design packages.
  • Practical and theoretical understanding of digital marketing channels
  • Have the ability to inspire people through outstanding verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English. Well-spoken and confident with particular emphasis on telephone etiquette.
  • Well-presented with significant EQ and interpersonal relation skills.
  • Ability to think, plan and act at a strategic level.
  • Unshakable drive and motivation to succeed and build your campaigns.
  • Effective at time management.
