Description
Key responsibilities and duties:
The Systems Engineer/ Voice Developer will be responsible for:
- Researching, designing, developing and operations of IMS nodes including but not limited to:
- Call session control functions (CSCF);
- Home subscriber server (HSS);
- Policy control and charging rules function (PCRF);
- Online charging system (OCS).
- Providing Level-3 support of SmileVoice and other components of the architecture;
- Developing new features and functionality in Smile’s architecture, as and when required in C and Java;
- Ensuring that interoperability testing on VoLTE handsets are performed against the Smile IMS;
- Ensuring the configuration/development of operations management tools to ensure accurate monitoring, dash-boarding and reporting of voice/messaging systems;
- Providing technical expertise and implementation on new projects, as and when required (e.g. lawful intercept, roaming etc.);
- Researching and keeping abreast of the latest technological developments in 3GPP standards and others relating to the delivery of voice/messaging on Smile networks;
- Aiding all operations in terms of the configuration of rates, routing and interconnection on SmileVoice.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualification and Experience:
Bsc/ B.Tech in Computer Science or Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering.
Essential:
- > 5 years hands-on experience in mobile IP telecom domain with experience in C/C++ modules development;
- Strong working knowledge of IMS, CSCF, PCRF, OCS, HSS and networks;
- Hands-on experience in LTE Architecture/domain. Preferably VoLTE;
- Strong working knowledge of SIP & preferably knowledge of Diameter protocol as well;
- Should have knowledge of any of the scripting languages like shell or bash etc.;
- Must be completely familiar with Linux environment and using Linux desktop and server environments;
- Basic Knowledge of Database and SQL queries;
- Good Debugging Skills;
- Passionate about IT & development.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of JAIN SLEE (Restcomm - formerly Mobicents);
- Knowledge of enterprise java development experience on JBoss / Glassfish / Wildfly / TomEE or similar.
