Description
Design automation testing plans and develop automation test scripts for multiple technical products / services (pre, during & post deployment) in both Run & Change contexts and align to chosen application testing frameworks & guidelines.
Testing may apply to all or a combination of the following front-end, back-end, integration, performance, scalability and regression testing of solutions. This entails full responsibility for ensuring products are protected through quantifiable test coverage & metrics.
Duties & Responsibilities
QA Engineer (QA) in Transactional Banking
In Transactional Banking we require slightly more technical QA Engineers than in more traditional environments due to nature of the architecture of the applications built in our space. However we still live and operate in a well regulated industry and as such have strong governance requirements on our projects to provide suitable test evidence for our various initiatives.
However the QA function does not exist in a vacuum and are embedded members in team to support the team with the holistic business testing needs.
- Support in the defining of test acceptance criteria
- Analyses and reports test activities and results
- Log defects, co-ordinate with developers for fixes, retest and close issues
- Identifies and reports issues and risks
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system
- Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers
- Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions
- Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities
- Collect and compile statistical quality data
- Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems
- Collaboratively work with the rest of the QA guild to refine quality assurance practices and technique within the greater team
- Continually evaluate on the adequacy of quality assurance standards in their projects
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues
- Provides reports on quality of code (based on test results) for individuals, wherever applicable
Desired Experience & Qualification

- Minimum 3 to 4 years as a QA Test Engineer
