Description
A shift Supervisor to Coordinate and Control the execution of the Outsourced Warehouse Functions that the company provides to the client in accordance with the Contracted Scope of Works and Service Level Agreement.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist Contract Manager with planning of Shifts and required headcount in relation to volumes to be handled.
- Organising dispatch functions of the PD and SD departments.
- Coordinating dispatch functions and delivery scheduling, overseeing the accuracy of Checker, Cage Controller and Loaders activities and responsibilities.
- Ensuring production targets for the shift is met and Quality Control is exercised into correct quantity and packing and loading standards.
- Exercising control over subordinates and effective compliance with the SLA between Company and Client.
- Continuously ensure client satisfaction of services and maintain mutually conducive working relationships.
- Recording of shift production target achievements.
- Effective administrative control over labour resources, into; regular attendance, planning and organising of shift cycles and rosters, quality of work produced eliminating damage and risks, tidy and accurate administrative work inputs with no tolerance for errors.
- Assist Contract Manager with exercising strict administrative control over PPE records as described in the Policy and Procedure for the control of PPE.
- Enforce SOPs to the staff
- Training of the staff and enforcing SLAs.
- Ensure good housekeeping is maintained during the shift and elimination of waste factors, through observations and non-compliance reports.
- 100% Compliance to both the client and Company OH&S Policies, Procedures, and regulations.
- Adherence to PPO Policies and Procedures related to all operational disciplines.
- Maintain a high standard of reporting of shift performance to Contract Manager
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12
- Supervisory Experience in the FMCG and Warehousing environment essential
- must be willing to work shifts and provide your own transport
- No Criminal record
- Contracted Scope of Works, the SLA, KPA and KPI requirements applicable to warehouse operation
- Production Management tasks i.e., Planning, Organising, Coordinating and Control and related supervisory functions.
- Applicable OH&S Act provisions and standards.
- Applicable Quality Management Standards
