Description
The Faculty of Health Sciences wishes to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced employee to support and add value to the outputs of the Department of Nursing. The incumbent will be involved in teaching, clinical accompaniment of students and research.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- PhD (Nursing)
- Registration with South African Nursing Council in Nursing Education
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council in Nursing Management/ Community Health Nursing will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Five (5) years teaching experience
- Experience in undergraduate and post graduate research supervision.
- A minimum of 2 publications in accredited journal(s)/ conference proceedings.
- Experience in middle management will be an added advantage.
Key Performance Areas
- Teaching and mentoring of undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Teach research
- Conduct independent research
- Supervise research in all levels (undergraduate and postgraduate)
- Research publication
- Participate in planned and regular schedules of evaluation surveys
- Participate in curriculum development
- Involvement in community engagement, committees and other administrative duties that may be assigned from time to time
