Description
Senior Finance Analyst role based in Longmeadow. Kindly note that this is not a traditional financial accounting role but more an operational finance /commercial management role with costing.
Administer client transport costs in line with client transport contracts to ensure accurate input of client transport cost into client financial system on a weekly basis.
Duties & Responsibilities
Weekly Flash
o Client transport costs accurately captured & submitted to the client as per weekly deadline
2 Weekly and Monthly Cost Analysis
o Actual vs Budget (Weekly/Monthly Analysis)
o Period vs Budget, Period vs Prior Year
o YTD vs Budget, YTD vs Prior Year
o Provide Explanation/Interpretation of underlying activity
3 Tracking of Savings Initiatives
o Accurately prepare & publish savings initiatives report as per weekly deadline
4 Compile Transport Budgets
o Compile Transport Budget – Budget Review Timeline (Annual, Mid-year Review)
o Compile Budget Presentation (assumptions, changes Etc)
o Budget Scenarios – impact of changing Budget input Parameters
o Transport Cost Reforecast (Monthly, Bi Annual, Annual)
5 Adhoc Analysis
o Other transport cost reports as required
o What if Scenarios
6 Transporter Contract Management and Maintenance
o Manage the annual Transport rate Increase
o Compile RFP documents for new Transporter engagement – Activity Based Costing
Desired Experience & Qualification
B.Com or CIMA equivalent (preferable)
Skills and experience required
• 10 years’ experience in a logistics environment (preferable)
• Strong Interpersonal Skills
• Manage Logistics Budget Process
• Client engagement
