Production Supervisor - Lubricants required for our Client, a global and leading manufacturer of lubricants and related products_to join their team on the East Rand with experience in lubricants manufacturing.
Duties & Responsibilities
Our Client, a global, leading manufacturer of lubricants and related products require an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team on the East Rand with experience in lubricants manufacturing.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the stores department for raw materials and packaging requirements
- Liaising with the maintenance department to ensure breakdowns are addressed timeously preventing down-time
- Liaise with the planning department regarding all production target throughputs (daily, weekly and monthly)
- Monitor workflow by ensuring adherence to work instructions
- Monitor downtime and implement measures to reduce production stoppages and delays
- Ensure proper sampling for laboratory testing to maintain quality standards and product specifications
- Ensure compliance to HSE standards and maintain good housekeeping throughout the factory
- Handle employee related issues whilst ensuring wellbeing, motivation and team development
Qualifications / Skills:
- Diploma / Degree or equivalent in chemical / mechanical / industrial engineering
- 5 to 10 years’ related experience in a supervisory role
- Previous experience in the chemical / lubricant industry preferred
- Strong team building, decision making and people management skills
