Description
The ADvTECH Schools Division leads the private sector in the field of education, contributing meaningfully towards the sustainable development of human capacity in South Africa.
Responsibilities
- Have a successful track record in the role of senior leadership within a school of standing and excellence together with appropriate academic and business qualifications;
- Be fully conversant with current trends and developments within educational fields particularly those pertaining to academic Schooling;
- Have a passion for education and a vision for the future of school and the ability to share this with the community;
- Have the ability to challenge and inspire students and teachers to live out their values;
- Be an innovative, visionary leader;
- Be able to attract and retain educators of exceptional quality;
- Encourage and support staff development.
Competencies required:
- Superior management skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills with colleagues, pupils and parents;
- Financial acumen;

- Assertiveness and dynamism;
- SACE registration.
Qualifications:
- Minimum requirement is a recognised Degree and/or a 4-year post-matric Teaching Qualification
Experience:
- 10 years teaching experience of which 3 years must be at senior management level in the same and/or similar type of position and similar environment.
- Maragon’s Christ-centered educational model focuses on knowing God, loving people and influencing the future while achieving academic excellence.
- The principal should possess a solid understanding of the Bible, Christian theology, and Christian worldview. They should be able to integrate biblical principles into the curriculum, guide discussions on faith-related topics, and address spiritual questions from students and staff.
- The principal should actively engage with the wider Christian community, local churches, and other relevant stakeholders. They should be able to foster partnerships, seek support, and promote the school’s mission and values to ensure a strong connection between the school and its broader Christian community.
- The principal should possess a deep personal faith and a strong commitment to Christian values and principles. They should be able to serve as a role model of Christian faith and exhibit a lifestyle that aligns with the teachings of Jesus Christ.
- The principal should be dedicated to the vision and mission of the Christ-centered school model. They should be able to articulate and implement a clear educational philosophy that integrates Christian values into every aspect of school life.
- The principal should have a genuine concern for the spiritual well-being of students and staff. They should be skilled in providing pastoral care, facilitating spiritual formation, and fostering a nurturing environment that supports the holistic development of everyone
