Description

Our Client requires someone to take responsibilty for growing and improving the business by fostering and developing relationships with customers, organisations and other partners. The incumbent will be required to improve profitability through careful strategic planning and positioning in the appropriate markets and enhance the position of reputation of the company.

The key success criteria for this postion are:

  • defining a clear strategy that drives lead generation, profitability and client base.
  • achieving annual national targets and ensuring accurate annual, quartley and monthly sales forecasts.
  • developing and executing the business plan in order to acheive the above goals, sales objectives and targets.
  • management and develoment of an effective sales team in order to attain a high performing sales team, measured by manager feedback and staff morale.
  • improved levels of partner satisfaction.
  • increased knowledge of competitive landscape.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • defining a national sales strategy in order to consistently grow student numbers as well as the Student Support Centre (SSC) footprint.
  • setting national, regional and individual consultant sales targets on a semester basis.
  • managing, developing, coaching, training and empowering consultants as well as all staff members who are involved in the sales process.
  • conducting corporate visits, develop sale presentations and proposals.
  • ensuring that teams have the necessary resources to perform properly and ensure streamlined processes and procedures.
  • conducting market research, competitor and customer analysis and ensure that competitor and market intelligence is fed back to management level.
  • providing strategic and management input in the development and marketing of any other business unit within the Group.
  • identifying new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends and customers.
  • ensuring seamless interface between operations and the sales team.
  • overseeing the development and implementation of an effective CRM system.
  • tracking, collating and interpreting sales data, generating timely sales reports.
  • providing daily statistical information regarding conversion rate per consultant and region.
  • measuring and reporting on performance of consultants.
  • forecasting annual, quarterly and monthly sales revenue.
  • controlling expenses and monitoring sales budgets.
  • discussing promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department and helping to plan sales campaigns.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Skills required are:

Requirements:

  • bachelor's degree/diploma (in business management and/or development would be an advantage)
  • minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role (experience in higher education essential)
  • track record of successful sales management, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • strong analytical skills to interpret data and generate reports
  • experience with relevant software applications
  • proven experience in customer relationship management
  • exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • excellent problem solving, leadership and customer service skills
  • ability to work under pressure and navigate tense situations
  • ability to coach, train and motivate sales staff and evaluate their performance
