Key Purpose Statement
The Multimedia Innovator is there to facilitate all teachers in project development using a technology-enhanced classroom. The teacher will research topics given and find suitable methods to incorporate global aspects and technology into the lesson. The Multimedia innovator will play a pivotal role in the development of internationally minded students and in equipping students with future-focused skills such as knowing the importance of reflection and problem solving. Real life experiences are essential as is contact with the countries outside of local boundaries. The multimedia Innovator will need to know and understand all the equipment in the classroom as well as be able to train others on it.

Responsibilities

Principal Accountabilities
• Facilitate and improve the school’s science and technology programs
• Provide leadership in the development and implementation of project-based learning with the eye to develop future focused skills
• Maintain current knowledge of developments both locally and globally and use these to develop globally minded students
• Collaborate with other schools in the country or outside of the country to support learning
• Plan and execute programs to actively engage students, parents, and the community
• Use all the equipment in the room
• To be innovative, creative and resourceful
• Provide leadership for professional development for other teachers in the school to promote learning and teaching best practices
• Supervise and ensure the safety of students in the class
• Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills
• Develop course syllabi or curricula overview on an as-needed basis
• Use a variety of technological applications and online resources
• Enhance productivity and learning opportunities through the use of technology

Minimum requirements

Qualification:
  • 4-year teaching qualification SACE registered Tech Savvy
Experience:
  • 4 years’ experience within teaching and learning
