Description
Duties & Responsibilities
The Creditor Controller ensures the collection of cash from the Company Debtors in an efficient and effective manner and resolves all queries relating to these Debtors within the framework of the policies determined by the Company. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, premium collection and allocation, customer query resolution, rebate and discount allocations, and building great relationships.
1) Credit Control
• Collection of debt on accounts in the allocated portfolio.
• Daily bank coding
• Releasing of orders on blocked status
• Receive remittance advices from customers and allocate appropriately.
• Process all discounts and rebates as per Trading Terms
Management of credit limits and terms – blocking/unblocking of accounts
• Weekly submission of Age Analysis with detailed feedback per account
• Monthly Recons
• Late Payment List management
• Management of Portals for FMCGs to ensure timeous resolution of claims to ensure payment
• Tending to all customer queries per company policies
• Month End Duties as required for management packs for financial closure
• Sending monthly statements
2) Claim Processing
• Claim approvals as per company policies
• CRM Management
• Manage invalid claims by providing the necessary proof or backup documents to the customer.
Desired Experience & Qualification
• Matric / Grade 12 Senior Certificate.
• Qualification in Credit Management or related field.
• Bookkeeping experience advantageous.
• Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent computer skills – MS Office required.
• Advanced Excel skills – working with numbers, metrics and spreadsheets.
• Strong Reconciliation skills
• High level of technical aptitude – an ability to learn new technical systems and tools quickly.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail, reliable and accurate.
