Description
De La Salle Holy Cross College is a South African school which embraces diversity and provides a unique educational experience. Our College is located in Victory Park, Johannesburg, and consists of a co-educational Junior School, Junior High, and High School. We are an independent, non-profit institution serving the educational needs of the immediate and wider community of Johannesburg.
The Junior School invites applications for the following position effective January 2024.
Responsibilities
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Be suitably qualified, with the relevant experience and registered with SACE
- Have a clearance certificate with the Child Protection Act and Sexual Offences Register
- Hold a recognised degree and/or a 4 year professional teaching qualification
- Have a willingness to embrace the ethos, values and mission of the College
- Be fully supportive of the school’s commitment to transformation, diversity and equality
- Have an enthusiastic, energetic and creative approach to teaching
- Be organized and self-motivated with exceptional interpersonal skills
- Have the ability to develop and sustain new and progressive teaching ideas and work co-operatively within a team environment
- Be open to embrace changes in education and to integrate IT into your teaching methods with a commitment to life-long learning
- The incumbent must be flexible, dynamic and open to learning
- Strong administration, technological and communication skills are required
- Ability to meet and work effectively with all stakeholders, parents and professionals in the school context to develop the holistic wellbeing of the child
- Exceptional ethical and professional conduct
- Have a willingness to support and participate in the co-curricular activities of the College
