Description
My client from a leading manufacturing concern is seeking an Electrical Foreman to join their team based in Mount Edgecombe. The successful candidates will be reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
Purpose:
- Effective management and execution of the responsibilities and technical support of the Electrical department as per the factory’s operational, legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Supervision of a team of electricians, assistants, apprentices and contractors by effectively coordinating and overseeing their workloads to ensure that the team continuously meets their target deadlines within the expected quality, standard and regulations.
- To ensure an efficient service is delivered and all departmental targets are achieved, including the planning and resourcing of Planned and Preventative Maintenance.
- Develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of working safely
Desired Experience & Qualification
Requirements:
- 5 Years post relevant trade test experience i.e. Electrical – Electrician Trade Test. Must have strong technical expertise and must be hands on.
- 5 years Supervisory experience. Must have strong supervisory experience with the ability to delegate tasks and hold subordinates accountable.
- Must have experience in a Manufacturing environment with Preventative and Predictive maintenance experience. Must have a proactive culture.
- Candidates will be expected to reside close to the factory i.e. not more than 20 to 30 kms since they will be expected to perform 24/7 standby.
