Description
Duties & Responsibilities
Based at Sabie Site and reporting to the Mill Manager the successful candidate will play an integral role in ensuring maximum electrical availability and efficiency. Core to this position is electrical and instrumentation maintenance, project management; identification of improvement projects, research thereof, professional recommendations. The successful individual will further be responsible to monitor and manage the energy usage by the site to ensure no excessive or wasteful usage occurs. He/she will be responsible for overall quality and management of all on-site PLC’s as well as protection systems such as lighting and surge protection systems.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Specific Requirements:
- BEng/BSc Electrical Engineering
- Advanced Ms Excel and MS Projects skills
- Knowledge of electrical, power and control systems
- Solid PLC knowledge and experience (Allan Bradley; Siemens), SCADA/HMI, including programming
- Knowledge of scanners and scanning technology
- Informed of technological advancements in the field
- Knowledge of renewable power/energy generation processes and systems
- Energetic, optimistic and open to be challenged
- Innovative, proactive and strong focus on continuous process improvement
- Strong analytical problem solving skills
