DRAMATIC ARTS TEACHER (Gr 8 – 12) / HEAD
OF THE ARTS DEPARTMENT

Kingsmead seeks to employ a passionate, enthusiastic, and innovative Dramatic Arts Teacher who will have the opportunity to work with talented and motivated students, inspire creativity and foster a love of drama. The successful candidate may also head up the Arts Department in the school, which includes the subjects Visual Arts, Dramatic Arts and Music.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities will include:
- Planning, preparing and delivering engaging and relevant drama lessons to students within the IEB curriculum.
- Organizing and directing drama productions and performances, both within the curriculum and as an extra-curricular Arts offering.
- Fostering a love of the Arts beyond the syllabus
- Being a dynamic team player with excellent people and communication skills.
- Collaborating with other teachers to deliver the Drama component in the Growth Curriculum in Grade 8 & 9.
- The ability to manage a diverse group of teachers in the sphere of the Arts and to co-ordinate meetings for the department.
- Confidence in using technology, particularly MS Office.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Arts and Music
- Having a SACE registration.
