Description
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure the cost control of various projects/jobs are completed/monitored and reported to Management and the various Department Heads
- Update actual vs allowable and variance reports
- Costing reports to be prepared and reported to Management on a weekly basis
- Manage work procedures and cost control systems
- Sign off any payments required
- Manage Warehouse Staff
- Reconcile Stock warehouse on a continual basis
- Responsible for regular stock counts
- Set monthly/annual budgets
- Monitor monthly actual against budget and where appropriate making recommendations to individuals and teams responsible for budgets
- Monthly reporting to Management of actual against budget
- Prepare Management Accounts
- Ensure Income and Expenditure are recorded in the correct accounting period
- Reconcile Ledger accounts on a monthly basis
- Responsibility for the allocation of company vehicles
- Follow up regarding outstanding sales orders with Bookkeeper
- Follow up regarding outstanding purchase orders with Bookkeeper
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric
- Accounting Degree – BCom Accounting Sciences
