Description
The position provides a service to all SA operations and as such he/she can be based at Randfontein, Orkney or Welkom offices (but will therefore be required to travel regularly).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical or Electronics
- 5 year’s mining experience in CIC or equivalent
- Advanced Computer Skills
- Medical Certificate of Fitness
- Code B driver’s license
- English proficiency and good communication skills

Duties & Responsibilities
- Determines the company’s CIC strategy and coordinates supporting initiatives
- Establishes performance metrics and relevant standards for compliance
- Monitors operation performance and system performance to develop a scope for improvement
- Manages the Chief Technicians and service providers to support operations
- Develop and maintain Instrumentation Engineering Procedures and link this with training and development of all CIC personnel
- Researches new and innovative technologies/methodologies within the global CIC industry to make appropriate recommendations.
- Assist maintenance managers in setting up effective maintenance routines for CIC
- Facilitate the link to Engineering for business improvements / digital initiatives throughout the company
