Description
Duties & Responsibilities
- To prepare and produce detailed structural analysis, design drawings and quantity estimates for tower, steel, concrete and formwork and per design element.
- Coordinating the overall project progress of the Civil-works aspect of the project with the consultant and the client representatives.
- Responsible for Telecommunications site technical survey and details design.
- Preparation of progress reports for weekly and monthly project review meetings.
- Review and approve proposals for towers, monopoles, antenna mounting structures.
- Assist the Design Consultancy or subcontractor to produce specified solutions as required.
- Guarantee minimal design to provide value engineered designs.
- Review site specific designs as produced by the Design Consultancy or subcontractor and make recommendations to manage cost and simplify construction.
- Ensure that site designs are compliant with local Health and Safety requirements.
- Join in the negotiation of contract clauses and technical annex.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Professionally registered Structural Engineer
- Tertiary Degree and above
- Must have telecommunications work related background
- Health and safety regulations
- Legal contract wording exposure
