he South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) is looking for a self-motivated individuals to assist the Senior Artisan to ensure that all projects and maintenance requests are completed according to specification within the budget and time frames using quality assurance standards.

This position requires a Grade 10 or equivalent at NQF Level 2 with 2 years’ experience in building, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure OR Grade 12 or equivalent at NQF Level 4 with 1 years’ experience in building, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure. Relevant Higher Education Qualification at NQF 5 will be an added advantage.

The following competecies are required for the candidate to be successful in this position:interpersonal skillls, the ability to communicate in English(read and write)ability to work under pressure; service focus;safety conscious; problem solving and a valid code b or C1 driver's licence (Code C1)

Responsibilities

Key Performance Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with construction services at the Garden;
  • Maintain infrastructure for Garden;
  • Provide support with the maintenance of equipment; and
  • Assist in the completion of generalist task.
