Description

Responsible for the management of the planning process from order receiving to scheduling of production on the bun and tortilla line to ensure customer order requirements are fulfilled in full.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Scheduling of production daily by receiving orders from customers, inputting orders in the planning documents and generating production mixing sheets and packing lists
  • Monitor and control the weekly production plan for the frozen stock for all customers
  • Perform daily SAP input of production figures by confirming orders timeously
  • Reconciliation of stock on floor against stock levels on production reports before SAP confirmations and where irregularities exists flag to the relevant personnel
  • Balancing of demand versus Capacity and prioritizing order fulfilment and communicate to customers on any potential non-delivery of orders due to capacity constraints
  • File and store the Processing Production paperwork (Mixing sheets, packing lists, waste sheets etc.) to ensure traceability requirements are met
  • Input downtime data into SAP for the Tortilla and Bun lines
  • Ensure that internal orders are transferred between CPT and PTA
  • Generate Weekly / Monthly time efficiency and yield graphs and present to the Plant Manager
  • Ensure production admin is kept up to date
  • Support the daily and weekly master schedules (maintenance and sanitation) time availability
  • Analyse past and present data to generate reports and create more effective schedules.
  • Perform any reasonable tasks given by the Plant Manager

Skills Required

Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge

  • Preferably Min 12 months of relevant work experience in food production industry, with an understanding of production process.
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Food Safety, SOP, Pest control and Bakery operation.
  • Good computer knowledge specifically Excel
  • Proficient in SAP

 

Physical requirements / Working conditions

  • Ability to work in a plant environment with fast moving machinery for extended periods of time
  • Able to work in elevated temperature/high humidity, high flour dust environment
  • Work rotating shifts as well as weekends and public holidays in a fresh bakery environment
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
  • Required bakery PPE to be worn whilst on duty and in required areas
