Description
Assist with the completion of the Annual Financial Audit in accordance with required deadlines. The successful applicants’ areas of responsibility will include Statutory Reporting, Tax compliance, Balance Sheet Reporting, Financial Reporting & Analysis,Etc.
Duties & Responsibilities
Statutory Reporting
- Draft individual and consolidated Annual Financial Statements for the South African group of companies
- Comprehensive knowledge and use of CaseWare
- Preparing supporting schedules for figures relating to notes to the annual financial statements
- Attention to detail and review of annual financial statements;
Tax Compliance
- Oversee the administration of the Group’s tax legislation (Company Tax, Value-Added Tax, PAYE, COIDA, etc.);
- Calculate and oversee proper accounting of current and deferred taxes
- Assist with the resolution of tax queries raised
VAT Compliance
- Undertake monthly quality reviews of VAT
- Perform reconciliations and returns where required
Balance Sheet
- Preparation of balance sheet packs;
- Undertake quality reviews and of GL reconciliations and assist in clearing reconciling items with the respective Finance Managers.
- Maintain monthly cash flow statements
Intercompany
- Ensure all intercompany accounts are reconciled and balanced in accordance with monthly deadlines.
- Ensure Group Related Schedules are updated monthly
