Description

We are looking to recruit an Assistant Supervisor to work within the Finance (Accounts Payable) department of Clicks Group Services. The role will be based at Clicks Head Office in Cape Town and will report to the Assistant Accountant (Expense Data Capturing Team).

Duties & Responsibilities

Job purpose:
To ensure that all expense supplier invoices are goods receipted and processed to ensure these are available for payment to suppliers within agreed payment terms whilst ensuring that Standard Operating procedures are documented, implemented and internal controls are adhered to; identifying and reporting any inefficiencies, risks and deviations.
Job Objectives:
  • Allocation of work to the team regularly each day.
  • Monitoring the processing of invoices to ensure department KPA and business SLA’s are met.
  • Monitoring the output of the team daily.
  • Preparation of documentation to provide support for audit purposes.
  • Performance management and training of staff in order for the team to deliver the objectives
  • Submitting accurate weekly and monthly reports.
  • Testing and sign off of any testing relating to projects directly impacting the team.
  • Ensuring that all open purchase orders are resolved within the agreed KPA deadlines.
  • Preparation and analysis of balance sheet reconciliations in order to provide the business with reasons for fluctuations in movement.
  • Petty cash processing and preparation of journals weekly.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Requirements:
Education and Experience:
  • 3 year degree/ diploma in Accounting, Cost and Management or Similar (Essential)
  • 2 Years relevant experience in similar position.
  • Experience in managing a team.
  • Finance background and an understanding of related transactions (advantageous).
  • SAP (Essential)

  • PC literacy (Microsoft Excel, Outlook)
