Description
Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Drill Master to be placed in Limpopo. The successful candidate will report to the Master Sinker. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.
Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
- Live core company values and portray professional conduct at all times
- Pro-actively identify risks, variance to plan and discuss the impact of these
- Engaging in the optimization of mechanized development process to ensure continuous alignment to the best practice standards
- Complying with the Health and Safety policy and practices of the company

Desired Experience & Qualification
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
- Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
- Drill Rig Operator Certificate
- Drivers’ License
- Sound verbal and written communication skills in English
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
- Extensive working experience in shaft development as a Drill Master
- Good knowledge and experience of mechanised mining operations
- Proven track record of production achievements
- Operating a Twin Boom drill rig with split feeds, drilling the development end face and capable of installing weld mesh and split sets as well as drilling and installing quick-chem resin bolts with the same machine
- Preference will be given to candidates with mechanised drill experience
