Description
A leading document storage, Records & Information Management Company is looking for an Account Manager to market and sell the company products and services to new clients and cross sell and upsell to existing clients in order to achieve agreed sales and service targets. Maintain excellent customer relationships, assist with daily tasks, retain and growing defined portfolios, as well as resolve all client queries. EE/AA position
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide purpose fit solutions through an in-depth understanding of specific client needs
Engage with clients on a regular basis to maintain sound relationships.
Acts as primary contact between clients and Metrofile for purposes of:
- negotiating prices
- providing customised solutions
- problem/issue resolution
Stay abreast of and inform the Sales Manager/ Sector Head of changing market and competitor trends.
Maintain a current and updated database on all clients in own portfolio
Keep informed of legislative requirements pertaining to document & records management
Ensure effective classification of client information
Ensure effective management of documentation and records.
Compile and reports on boxes past due on a quarterly basis.
Develop Account Plans as agreed with Sales Manager/ Sector Head
Report sales and service statistics to the Sales & Service Manager/ Sector Head weekly
Resolve all enquiries or queries
Assist with preparing and presenting business proposals
Maintain close relationships with the Sector Head
Ensure effective management of documentation and records.
Deal with, resolve and report on issues, concerns and complaints
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
Degree/Diploma ins Sales/Marketing/Retail/Business Administration/Customer Relations Management
Matric
Experience/Criteria
At least 8 years’ experience in a sales/business development role preferably in Information Services/ Warehousing/ Logistics or similar environment
Postgraduate qualification is business administration will be highly advantageous
Account management experience in document management and archival related or similar industry sales will be preferable
Business to business (B2B) experience
Excellent track record in delivering high level sales presentations
Excellent track record in meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Team player
Business acumen and be able to communicate with senior to top management levels
Prepared to travel between sites/clients
Highly computer literate
Demonstrate excellent organisational skills
Experience in tender document preparation
Own vehicle and valid driver’s licence
