Description
A reputable company who is a leading supplier of chemical and hygiene systems requires a Customer Service Technician who will be based in Namibia. The role will be responsible for all Technical and Customer Service activities in assigned account or regions as set out by the H&L Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Duties:
• Prepare action plans and technical service schedules for existing clients in conjunction with H&L Manager
• Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activities
• Continuously develop product and application knowledge and maintain sales and training materials
• Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships
• Identify and resolve client concerns and take responsibility for client requirements
• Communicate on new opposition products, special account developments and any other relevant information gathered through field activities to provide feedback to H&L Manager.
• Perform general errands such as deliveries of stock, collecting of payments from clients, stock takes etc.
• Carry out technical installations, repairs and maintenance of equipment countrywide
• Ensure Company vehicle is always clean and that the logbook is up to date
• Develop new business opportunities at existing clients (upselling)
• Perform Stock Management and stock taking on a regular basis at client sites
• Learn customers operations and devise unique solutions as their expert on advanced cleaning and sanitation processes
• Demonstrate the company’s consultative sales approach; leverage hands-on service to enhance total value to the customer
• Willingness and ability to be involved with emergency on-call rotation that includes nights and weekends; providing emergency service coverage after hours to customers
• Build relationships by providing customers with innovative products, sales demos, regular service and ongoing training
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements:
• Technical minded Individual
• Code 08 Valid Driver’s Licence & willingness to travel (Southern Africa) essential
• Electrical understanding / training, N3 or similar will be a distinct advantage
• Experience in Technical or Customer Service or any qualification relevant to the position
• Basic knowledge of practical chemistry
• Basic technical/ equipment service skills
• Presenting proposals and dealing with prospective and current clients
• Any service experience in the Hygiene, Food or Hospitality & Laundry Industry will be advantageous
