Description

Responsible to drive the complete outbound supply-chain co-ordination function from port to dealer on behalf of the client.

Making full use of VMotion functionalities to drive and measure performance of various suppliers in the
customers outbound supply-chain and support supply chain process of the client while focusing on the client’s strategic vision for outbound vehicle logistics

Duties & Responsibilities

 

Coordinate the movement of all units throughout the entire supply chain life cycle. Including but not limited to:
1. Planning of units
2. Fitment of units
3. All relevant bond requirements
4. Follow up on delayed units
5. Delivery of units to the specified destination (Dealers or others)
6. Feedback to relevant stake-holders

Coordinate client’s logistics suppliers (yard operators; fitters, transport companies, customs, Port).

Engage with all suppliers within the supply chain to ensure that the client’s delivery lead-times are met.

Act upon instruction received from the client quickly and efficiently.

Field calls from client, suppliers, and dealers.

Ensure coordination of all type of units, local, exports, rentals, buy-backs, dealer swops, and consignment units are carried out quickly and efficiently.

Responsible for stock take lists, and recons in conjunction with yard management system.

Coordinate vehicle movements with the yard management system, focussing on priorities, anomalies, and lead time adherence for all internal moves.

Ensure accurate Bond-register management, including the in and out movements of bonded areas as
prescribed by SARS.

Resolve all requests made by the importer.

Resolve issues with fitment vendors and all other suppliers regarding delays.

Coordinate with providers, to ensure all units are fitted as per client instructions.

Plan all units that have completed QC and bond cleared with carrier and self collects.

Ensure that self collects have all documents received and handed over to the correct parties before the unit is collected.

Manage cancellations and holds of all units.

Resolve all delays regarding customs clearance, pending ePOD’s, units pending collection.

High Level Client Engagement and communications.

Ensure all contractual commitments are met.

Constantly identify and explore continuous improvement initiatives.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Matric, with English fluency (written and spoken)
National Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management or similar
Logistics/3PL Management experience
Computer literacy: Microsoft Excel

2-3 years’ relevant experience in Supply Chain Management or similar
Experience in finance will be advantageous
