Duties & Responsibilities
- Continuously ensure client satisfaction of services and maintain mutually conducive working relationships.
- Achievement of daily / weekly / monthly production targets.
- Maintaining focus on the optimised utilisation of production capacity and application of resources ensuring effective time utilisation, handling equipment machinery and methods.
- Effective application and utilisation of labour resources, ito; regular attendance, planning and organising of shift cycles and rosters, quality of work produced eliminating damage causing risks, tidy and accurate administrative work inputs with no tolerance for errors.
- Ensure processes are optimized to drive cost down and customer value created through the client service offering and productivity management of staff.
- Plan and communicate daily operational activities to his/her operations team.
- Allocate MHE drivers to the inbound, outbound, and distribution teams as per daily operational requirements.
- Assist the Inventory team in the planning and managing of cycle counts and stock takes.
- Monitor and manage operational performance in terms of SOPs and KPIs.
- Implement processes and procedures to ensure maxi-mum efficiency, optimize resources, minimize costs, and achievement of service level targets.
- Work closely with the client coordinators and operational teams to establish corrective and preventative action in case KPA’s are not being met.
- Ensure the relevant SOP is available and applied for each customer to clarify responsibilities.
- Actively use the customer complaints register to enhance complaint resolution and the improvement of core processes.
- Monitor, maintain, and enhance customer service levels with all clients.
- Ensure management reporting deadlines are met, internal and external reporting.
- Management of all MHE on-site; checklists, service schedules, and repairs of the MHE.
- Ensure all goods received, goods dispatched, and goods returned processes are implemented, managed as per SOPs and work instructions, as well as conform to all the client’s specifications.
- Practice good housekeeping and elimination of waste factors.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12
- Clear criminal record
- Previous working experience as a Supervisor in the distribution, logistic, FMCG and E-commerce industries.
- Experience with industrial relations processes in the work place.
- Valid drivers license.
- Good leadership, communication and computer skills
- Willing to work flexible hours, including different shift systems.
- Work well under pressure and meet production demands.
- Experience with health and safety.
