A fast growing Internet company is seeking a newly qualified CA(SA) to join their Finance team in Cape Town as the Financial Manager. The successful candidate will be expected to provide financial and management accounting support. The role will be also be involved in the day to day operations, which will give candidates experience in and involvement of running a fast growing tech based business. The candidates must be willing to get their hands dirty and work work across departments and multiple teams with in the business.

• Provide month end closing (including accounting, forex revaluations, month end journals etc.) and reporting on accounts to stakeholders and varietal entities.
• Provide support to the clerks who are responsible for ensuring accurate bookkeeping and management of debtors and creditors/ controllers.
• Take ownership of ensuring a stable and well controlled banking and treasury environment is kept in place.
• Review the work of, and support junior staff members to ensure that all daily / weekly / monthly capturing is approved and that transactions are accurate and payments are made accurately (also reviewing PAYE, SDL and UIF calculations).
• Lead correspondence with external service providers, including external auditors.
• Calculation and submission of tax related matters to SARS.
• Assisting with internal controls between departments.
• Coordinate and assist with the budget processes.
• Perform monthly cash flow forecasts.

• Eligible/Newly Qualified CA(SA) with 0 - 3 years PQE (preferably in a commercial environment).
• Past experience working with full IFRS would be beneficial.
• Able to work in a fast paced environment.
