ASSISTANT CREDITORS ADMINISTRATOR AND BOOKKEEPER

The successful applicant will report to the College Creditors’ Administrator and the Finance Manager.

 

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and reconciliation of creditors payments.
  • Loading of creditor payments on the CATS system.
  • Capturing and reconciliation of creditors’ cashbook.
  • Full petty cash function and reconciliation of cash books.
  • Foreign payments administration.
  • Reconcile Contra Accounts and Cost Budgeting for Sports Tours.
  • Recording of Dainfern College Foundation and Parents Association transactions.
  • Prepare management accounts for the foundation and audit requirements.
  • Foundation Debit order management on CATS.
  • Stock on hand control.
  • General ledger reconciliation and journals.
  • Customer invoicing and administration.
  • Hire of facilities reconciliation.
  • Assisting the Finance department in any other accounting matters from time to time.

The successful candidate must possess:

  • At least three years’ experience in a similar financial role.
  • Sound accounting knowledge.
  • Accounting/Bookkeeping qualification
  • Good general skills (planning, organising and controlling).
  • MS Office – including a high standard of Excel skills.
  • Internet Banking CATS.
  • Interpretation of software systems; Pastel Accounting and Ed-admin would be an advantage.

  • High level of ethics, integrity, trustworthiness, responsibility and transparency.
  • Good communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines (stress tolerance).
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail (tedium tolerance).
  • Good administration skills.
