APPS is an independent girls’ preparatory school, from Grade 0 to 7. A school which is known for its innovative approach to education. Whilst innovation is at the core, tradition is crucial for our 102-year-old school.

With the retirement of our current incumbent, we are seeking to appoint a dynamic person of integrity and vision with strong interpersonal skills. This person should have

• the requisite academic and professional qualifications;
• a very high standard of teaching and learning with a minimum of five years of English and/or Mathematics teaching in independent education;
• be skilled in differentiated remedial and learner support learning methodologies and have the knowledge of a variety of remedial intervention programmes;
• experience in working with concessions in Grade 4-7 and a passion for helping children;
• understand, identify with and contribute to the Christian Ethos and values of the school;
• the ability to develop and sustain new ideas, staying abreast of global trends in education;
• show excellent interpersonal skills to work co-operatively with a team of teachers;
• good organizational and administrative skills, and be computer literate;
• a passion for education;
• be in possession of a SACE Registration Certificate;
• be in possession of a clearance certificate in terms of the Sexual Offenders Act
