Duties & Responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Comply with shaft and winder examination COP;
- Comply with Emergency procedure in the event of an emergency i.e. slack rope, tight rope, accidents, etc.
- Asist with change of ropes;
- Adhere to Lock out procedure;
- Monitor Rock Winder for any problems according to procedure;
- Operate winding engine according to shaft schedule in conjunction with the Banksman/Onsetter;
- Ensure visual inspection of working are is carried out to ensure safe workplace.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum Grade Numeracy or Grade 11 with Mathematics & Science;
- WED Certificate of Competency;
- DMR Onsetter Certificate and MQA Onsetter Certificate where applicable;
- Proficient in English language;
- Medical Certificate of Fitness;
- Learner ship Contract/Proof of formal training/Workbook;
- Psychometrics Assessment.
