A position has become available for a Warehouse Manager to join our dynamic team.

Main job purpose

To oversee and control the entire operation of the warehouse through the effective management and utilisation of all resources, required to optimise the efficiency of the warehouse, thereby ensuring excellent service delivery, safety of warehouse staff and business continuity.

• To optimise the warehouse through the effective utilisation of resources and management of inventory control in order to control risk (e.g. damages and safety) and ensure that the business delivers the right product in the right quantity at the right time in order to satisfy the customer.
• To take overall responsibility for the Warehouse systems and processes; thereby ensuring overall data integrity and customer satisfaction relating to ARG’s product and service delivery.
• To oversee all maintenance, repairs and security through the effective management of relevant service providers thereby ensuring overall business functionality on a day-to-day basis to ensure optimal service delivery.
• To manage and lead the warehouse by directing activities, monitoring performance and developing staff to ensure that the objectives of the warehouse are achieved on an ongoing basis.
• To manage the costs of the warehouse, by providing input into the budget and managing expenditure accordingly, on a daily basis.
• To liaise and build effective working relationship with key stakeholders; including suppliers and customers; in order to improve supplier efficiencies and quality as well as ensure overall customer satisfaction.
• To ensure effective communication of relevant information to all stakeholders to support effective decision making for the business.

Qualification(s)               

• Grade 12
• Diploma in Operations/Warehouse or Resource Management

Knowledge   

• Knowledge of importing and exporting of goods
• IR knowledge
• SAP
• Knowledge of the OHSA
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance.
• Working knowledge of optimising warehouse efficiency.
• Knowledge of compiling SLA’s for service providers.
• Working knowledge of current best practices in operations and warehouse management
