Description
Our client in the wine industry is urgently looking for an experienced Warehouse and Production Controller to join their team
Location: Somerset West, Western Cape
Job Description:
To control all warehousing, production, and despatch activities at a rented warehouse facility to ensure that all the required storage, labelling, packaging, re-works, and deliveries are achieved within the scheduled time periods and with the required customer service standards.
Requirements:
• Grade 12 or equivalent with good Excel skills
• NQF 5 or equivalent qualification in warehousing/distribution/production
• 5 years of work experience in a similar position and knowledge of the wine industry would be advantageous
• A valid Forklift license will be advantageous
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the control and supervision of all company activities at the rented warehouse area (labelling, warehousing and despatch)
• Complete all administration requirements timeously and accurately (including legislative requirements for wine production i.t.o. SARS and SAWIS)
• Process and picking of local and export orders as required
• Stock management and reconciliations on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
• Communication and liaison between rented facility operations and the company
• Other ad-hoc stock and warehousing duties as required
