Are you in the market for a nursing opportunity at a well-established and leading healthcare agency? MHR is currently recruiting Theatre qualified or experienced Registered Nurses (RN) / Professional Nurses (PN) to work part-time shifts at a private facility in Hermanus in the Western Cape.

• Delivers comprehensive and quality patient care according to scope of practice
• Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety
• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions
• Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Nursing (General and/or Midwifery)
• Valid SANC licence
• At least 1-year working experience in a Theatre environment is essential
• An additional qualification in Operating Theatre Nursing Science/Diploma in Critical Care Nursing will be advantageous
• A good understanding and application of the nursing scope of practice
• Knowledge of clinical procedures, relevant nursing legislation, the Scientific Nursing Process and BCA bundles
• Sound knowledge and application of relevant Theatre and CSSD policies and procedures
• Management of surgical equipment and instruments
• Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols
• Risk Management
• Must be available IMMEDIATELY for part-time shifts
