Description
My client is a leader within the medical scheme and they currently seeking to appoint an experienced Procurement Associate for a 6 months’ position to join their team based in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administrative function of supply chain management within the procurement division.
Description
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma/ Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
- 3 - 5 years sound knowledge of and experience in supply chain management process, systems and procedures
- Proven ability to prioritize workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to confidentially interact at all levels within and outside the Scheme
- Proactive, trustworthy and high output drive individual.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Solid organizational skills
- Good communication and writing skills
- Attention to detail
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist and participate in the development of an annual procurement plan for procurement formal quotation level
- Coordinate the Administration of the Bid Committee system
- Communicate effectively with internal and/or external stakeholders
- Attend forums and meetings where applicable
- Administrate the implementation of the SCM Policy and processes
- Coordinate procedural administrative requirements, record keeping and reporting deadlines
- Collaborate with other divisions to identify and or review new suppliers for the database
- Assist and participate in reporting of the Scheme’s procurement spend, with a focus on B-BBEE
- Assist with formal quotation processes
- Mitigate risks and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Develop, maintain and update procurement template documentation and process flows in line with the Scheme’s development, growth and procurement requirements
- Support the work of the procurement specialists and the oversight auditors
