Description
Our client is currently seeking to employ a Group Financial Accountant for a period of three months. The successful incumbent will be focusing on key aspects within a financial department and will be reporting to the Chief Financial Officer.
Duties & Responsibilities
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
: • Preparation of group consolidated financial statements and ensuring compliance with IFRS and JSE Listings Requirements • Preparation/review of subsidiary financial statements • Compile tax relevant information for the group, calculate tax liabilities and submit relevant documentation to SARS including assisting with and responding to SARS queries • Calculation and submission of indirect taxes and other tax relevant information for the group • Perform the monthly group reporting and consolidation • Prepare and analyse management accounts for the Central departments of the group • Preparation of monthly Executive Committee submissions • Assist with budgeting and forecasting for the group • Prepare the general ledger for the holding company and other nonoperating entities of the group • Adhoc requirements including group initiatives or divisional financial projects

Desired Experience & Qualification
Certified Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Up to 2 years post articles experience in a commercial environment
• Experience with computer accounting and reporting systems
• Strong IFRS and Corporate Income tax knowledge • JSE Listings requirements knowledge (an advantage)
