You are no ordinary Fund Accountant, you are THE Fund Accountant. You’ve laid a solid accounting foundation and now you’re building your career in fund accounting but you want more, you want to be where all the action is….you want to work in asset management.
What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)
You’ll be taking on the full fund accounting function, valuations, pricing, reporting, you name it. You’ll be exposed to cutting-edge investment methodologies while sharing an office with highly qualified investment professionals such as the CIO, PM, PHD in Quants and another fellow CA the CFO, what more could you ask for? And there’s more, the role will start off as fund accounting but this is only the start of your learning curve. You’ll learn to understand the mechanics of the markets as you understand the portfolio positioning. This is an opportunity with long-term trajectory in the business as you learn.
Where you’ll be doing it
You’ll be working for a top performing boutique asset manager where they blend 100 years of commodity trading experience with innovative quantitative technologies. . They have offices in Cayman Islands, London and Cape Town and mostly work with UK based clients and stakeholder. You’ll be one of 12 people in the company and will be based in Cape Town CBD and you’ll be the only Fund Accountant in this amazing asset manager.
What you’ll need
As you can see this is not just anyone that grabs an opportunity like this, you really do need to be at the top of your game and that game has to be fund accounting without a doubt. You need to be a qualified CA(SA) with 1 years’ experience as a Fund Accountant and wanting to be the best Fund Accountant, not an Analyst, a one of a kind Fund Accountant.
What you’ll get
