Description
Responsible for managing and maintaining the IT Systems, that is necessary for the efficient and successful IT operation of our client’s business, while providing additional support and leadership to the other Systems Engineers
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide and manage internal and external IT services to ensure maximum network / server and desktop uptime so that our clients networks operate at peak efficiency.
- Offer support and guidance to the junior engineers
- Manage the quality of technical services supplied by the other Systems Engineers, so that standards required are met.
- Train/Help System Engineers to function effectively in their role and ensure their continued development.
- In conjunction with the MD and Technical Director, formulate and implement the Technology strategy for Greendata and/or its clients.
- In conjunction with the MD and Technical Director, formulate and implement new or improved standard operating procedures.
- On a day-to-day basis:
- Monitor client’s IT systems for breaches and weaknesses.
- Take preventative action and ensure all preventative measures are up to date.
- Take the appropriate action, after a breach has occurred.
- Monitor and treat for viruses, malware, and outbreaks
Evaluate emerging and new technologies, with a view to using them
Desired Experience & Qualification
- At least 10 years IT experience
- Advanced PC and networking skills
- Office 365 - Installing / Configuring / Maintaining
- VLANS - Installing / Configuring / Maintaining
- Firewalls – Installing / Configuring / Maintaining
- Windows Server – Active Directory / HyperV / RDS
