Description
Our client is looking for a System Adminitrator to join the team. We are a National Network who Phsically contructs and maintainsour own growth and training in an exciting career.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems.
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
- Windows Server Administration - Server installation & maintenance, Managing AD, GPO, DHCP, DNS, ADFS, WSUS, File & Print Services, monitoring event logs and resolving all occurring errors, using virtual environment to manage virtual servers
- Design and implement new solutions and improve resilience of the current environment
- Disaster Recovery - Ensuring recovery of files from crushed computers
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
- Providing technical support internally and externally (for clients)
- Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary.
- Maintain accurate IT Asset Registry.
- Assist with backup/restore/setup of new and existing client/staff mobile devices such as phones and tablets.
- Manage the biometrics server/service for new and existing users for clients and internally. – Nice to have – with new spec
- Testing new technology.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an IT/Systems Engineer or similar role.
- Microsoft qualifications (MCP or MCSA or MSCE).
- Additional qualifications advantageous.
- Enterprise Network experience a must (L2&3 LAN/WAN, VLAN, STP, etc –, Mikrotik, etc)
- Solid Windows Server and Desktop experience a must (Deploy, maintain, update/upgrade).
- Virtualisation Experience, VMWare preferably, Hyper-V, etc.
- Experience with Monitoring Tools (eg. PRTG, Cacti, Observium) advantageous
- Experience with MSSQL/MySQL (Deploy, maintain, update/upgrade, tune).
- Experience with Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu) advantageous
- Office 365 Online (Exchange, Sharepoint) experience a must.
- Good understanding of systems security (firewalling, network access)
- Solid understanding of the innards of the Internet (DNS / FTP / Mail / HTTP)
- Thorough understanding of Active Directory (GPO, OUs)
- Must have own transportation and be prepared to perform onsite visits to our Data Centre as required operationally
- Knowledge of Windows Server technologies, Active Directory, Synology, storage and backup devices, VMWare, Citrix, Salesforce, and other solutions as necessary to fulfil job responsibilities.
- Knowledge of server, storage and virtualization standards, techniques, and tools
- Basic understanding / knowledge of networking.
- Technical, back-end VoIP/Voice experience highly advantageous.
- You should please live within a reasonable distance from Linbro Park and have your own transport and be prepared to perform onsite visits to as required operationally
