Description
A large Australian Structural Engineering Company based in New South Wales, Australia, wants to employ an experienced Structural/Civil Engineer, to lead a multi disciplined office.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Structural designs and drawings for industrail, commercial and infrasructure for buildings
* Leading a design team of 8
* Determining construction methods, materials and quality standards, drafting and interpreting specifications,drawings, plans, construction methods and procedures
* Organising and directing site labour and the delivery of construction materials, plant and equipment, and establishing detailed programmes for the coordination of site activities.
* Designing structures to ensure they do not collapse, bend twist or vibrate in undesirable ways.
* Monitoring changes to designs, assessing effects on cost, and measuring , valuing and negotiating various designs.
Desired Experience & Qualification
* Degree in Civil Engineering or related Qualification.
* 5+ years post registration experience with in a structural engineering environment.
* Working knowledge of TEKLA structural design software.
* Proven ability in leading multidiscipline activities
* Exellent leadership and communication skills
* Proven knowledge of all aspects of the basic requirements for the design of structures, buildings and plants.
* High level of customer focus.
* Be below the age of 44
