You are a self-motivated draughtsman who is passionate about renewable energy. You can work alongside a team of engineers. You pay attention to detail, and you take pride in your work.

What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

You will be creating detailed drawings from the engineers’ designs, this will also include detailing of civil and mechanical components for various projects as well as inverter station/building design and component layouts, solar module layouts and cable routing details to mention a few.

You will be using AutoCAD design software to create 2D and 3D technical drawings while liaising with engineers to gather requirements for the designs. You will also be calculating dimensions and material requirements and editing technical draughts based on the recommendations of the project engineers.

What you’ll need

You have 2 or more years working experience as a draughtsperson / designer with a Matric certificate or a Technical N3 Matric Certificate. A N4 / N5 Multi-Disciplinary Drawing Office Practice (MDDOP) National Certificate.

You can create detailed designs using AutoCAD design software and you have the ability to work with multiple engineers across multiple projects in parallel.
