Rage has an exciting opportunity for a Software Developer to join the Team at our head office in Edenvale. The Software Developer will be responsible for developing, designing, and implementing new software to serve the business requirements. Identify areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently implementing and testing these modifications. Maintaining and managing existing software programs. Assist with basic data base administration.

-Support and collaboration with the projects team in developing systems and optimising new processes

-Writing and implementing efficient code

-Simulation, testing and quality assurance of new and existing software

-Maintenance of back-end processes:

• Web services
• System updates
• Back ups
• Batch uploads
• Software troubleshoot and debug
• System restore (disaster management)
• Integrate software components and third party programs e g: API and web service development
• Administration and updating Posgresql database
• Report building

• 3-5 years VB.NET, C# (advanced)
• 3-5 years database experience (Posgresql/SQL)
• Advanced Excel
• Basics of Microsoft office suite
• Advantageous:
• VBA
• Experience in Web and API development
• Python, R
• Degree/Diploma in IT/CIS/computer science/software engineer
