Description
Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Shift Supervisor Mining to be placed in Musina. The successful candidate will report to the Mine Overseer. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.
Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
- Installation of service infrastructure
- Safe achievement of production and quality targets in line with DMR, M&RC and client requirements
- Section compliance with SHEQ and M&RC and client standards, policies and procedures
- Ancillary excavations
- Shaft operational and logistics management
- Operational co-ordination of labour
- Risk management
- Safety management
- Financial and budget management
- Client relationship management
Desired Experience & Qualification
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
· Banksman / Onsetter certificate
· Blasting certificate
· Shift Supervisor Certificate
Communication skills in English
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
- 3 years’ experience in an underground mining environment as a Miner/Developer
- Exposure to acting as a Shift Supervisor would be advantageous
- Knowledge of SHEQ standards and requirements
