Description
Our client, a well-established Manufacturing company, based in Durban, is looking to fill the position of Services Artisan (Trade Tested Plumber)
Purpose of the role
This position reports to the Mechanical Team Leader. The successful incumbent will be required to conduct maintenance of signs, demarcations, renovations, scaffolding, plumbing and general maintenance.
Key Performance Areas:
- Maintenance of all signs in the plant
- Logging on Check and re paint all plant related demarcations
- Carry out repairs, general maintenance and renovations as required and renovations as required
- Check safety guarding
- Ensure on the job safety
- Defects and unsafe conditions reported to section fitter or foreman
- Ensure that adequate stocks are kept in plant oil stores
Qualification/Experience Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Qualified Plumber (Trade Test)
- 5 years’ experience in a heavy industry environment
- Computer literate
- Technical knowledge – knowledge of maintenance systems
