Description
We are looking for a seasoned and well rounded Senior Project Manager to take up a fixed term contract at a client who has a global footprint in the Telecommunications sector.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Creating and Managing Project plans and ensuring deadlines associated with deliverables and other tasks are met
- Lead and drive planning and implementation of the project
- Effort and Resource Estimation
- Managing Project Scope and actively identifying and resolving the client challenges
- Managing Budgets and ensuring delivery within budget
- Project Execution Management
- Project Monitoring and Control
- Identifying risks, issues and mitigating and managing these during the lifecycle of a project
- Stakeholder Management – managing client expectations and satisfaction and ensuring deliverable content and quality
- Vendor and Procurement Management
- Project Close-out
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field (Honours preferred)
- Project Management Qualification
- Prince 2 or PMBOK Certification
- 7 – 10 years’ experience managing large project teams
- Telecommunications experience is a MUST for this role
- Ideally: 5+ years direct experience in managing successful business change projects
- Agile Project Management
- Broad business understanding & Project Management terminology
- Planning & Organising skills to ensure effective Time Management
- Managing complex dependencies within a project
- Conflict management and resolution
- Systems integration in an open IT system environment
