Description

Khanyubomi Investiments is looking to recruit a Senior Project Manager to be accountable for the SMBS sales revenue by developing and implementing a detailed SMBS sales strategy for TBM in alignment with the overall business strategy and objectives. Also responsible for growing, developing and managing the TBM SMBS sales team and ensuring compliance with legal, operational and commercial requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

 The successful applicant would be required to fulfil the following primary functions in a professional manner and with technical excellence:

 

  • Plan and implement the Direct to market SMBS Sales Portfolio & Strategy of Telkom Business Mobile
  • Develop and successfully implement a SMBS channel sales strategy for TBM utilising dedicated TBM hunters aligned to overall business strategy & objectives
  • Actively manage the various channel strategies with specific focus on enablement of key sales fundamentals
  • Compile and deliver monthly channel sales forecasts and reports
  • Provide regular and accurate information to the Executive Business Mobile sales and TBM leadership on the progress of business sales/ deals
  • Lead, guide and enable the sales team in the sales cycle-from defining & applying a Go/ No-go assessment system/ criteria for proposals up to closing the deal
  •  Ensure the implementation of effective control measures
  • Build Strategic Relationship with Stakeholders
  • Build and manage relationships within the Telkom Mobile team
  • Build and manage relationships with key Executives, Senior Managers and managers within the SMBS DSF
  • Build and grow relationships with CEO's, CIO's and business leaders in the market
  • Build and manage relationships within Telkom Business Sales Organisation
  • Provide Team Leadership
  • Build, develop, empower and inspire the sales teams
  • Set and continuously monitor stretched performance targets to increase sales activation targets, revenue forecasts and manage the team's performance accordingly
  • Establish an enabling work environment and culture for optimum staff performance
  • Lead, guide and coach staff in channel sales skills thus ensuring a highly capable sales team
  • Continuously motivate staff and channels, recognizing and rewarding behaviour that is congruent with Telkom's desired culture
  • Ensure the implementation of effective personal and career development initiatives
  • Facilitate sound employee relationships and team effectiveness
  • Ensure staff compliments that comply with EE/ diversity targets

 

Desired Experience & Qualification

Suitable candidates will need to satisfy the following requirements:

 

  • Appropriate Tertiary qualification in Marketing or Sales/ Customer Management
  • 7 Years relevant experience in a telecommunications sales environment of which at least 3 years must have been in a senior leadership position.
  • Preference will be given to mobile telecommunications experience.
  • Mobile Industry; SMBS Mobility; Business Sales; Business Acumen; Business to Business Buyer Behaviour; Integrated Business Solution Consulting;
  • Technical Sales Methodology & Best Practices
  • Highly ambitious and personable with a team spirit.
  • Excellent communication, writing skills, and attention to detail
  • Excellent English grammar and other language skills
  • Computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word,)
  • Knowledge of basic QA and reporting analytics principles is a plus
  • Ability to travel

Package & Remuneration

Total remuneration package: R 25 000. 00 per month
