Our client based in Sandton is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Developer to join their team for a 12 month contract.

Purpose of Role 

Designs, develops, and implements Java applications to support business requirements.

Requirements

• Matric Certificate
• Diploma/ Degree in IT
• 5 or more years' of experience

Knowledge and Competencies

• Object Orientation, Spring, Hibernate, Junit, Data Modelling, UML, Architectural Styles
• Java, SOAP, REST, SQL, SOA
• Advantageous: Kafka, Zookeeper, Kibana, Fluentd

Duties

• Work closely with business analysts to analyse and understand the business requirements and business case
• Testing the quality of produced software thoroughly
• Maintain the system in production and provide support in the form of query resolution and defect fixes
• Prepare the necessary technical documentation
• Driving the skills development of team members, recruitment, performance management
