Seeking a front end developer for a full time, on-site, contract position to build the best cutting edge web and mobile designs as well as interfaces in an agile environment. The candidate will take graphical concepts from designers and making them come to life in the digital environment. This role includes working in a small team environment, with 3 other designers and a wider team of 15 (CRM). The office is creative and friendly, with a lot of passion for design and code. This position is a full time fixed 12-month contract with the possibility of becoming permanent.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work with marketing product managers to customize online marketing campaigns, and organize and manage all online marketing collateral
- Design, create and maintain web content to meet marketing requirements
- Craft solutions for layout and styling issues across multiple browsers and mobile devices
- Work with IT to ensure backend processes to and from the website transition smoothly
- Collaborate with editorial on online companion resources
- Design, create and optimize graphic content for social media, online ads, and website use
- Research, purchase and customize stock photography to reflect marketing message
- Create, facilitate and document testing of web development, and offer on-demand web maintenance, content management, and technical support
- Mentor junior designers in weekly one-on-one advanced design concepts coaching sessions, and provide feedback on practice assignments
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5-7+ years of front end web experience with expert level HTML/CSS/JavaScript knowledge
- Absolutely must have strong knowledge of responsive/adaptive design outside of frameworks
- Strong ability to take graphical designs and cut them into efficient HTML/CSS
- Knowledge skin/theme development on popular CMS’s
- Experience developing animation and advanced interfaces
- Working knowledge as far as how to create and test highly (browser) compatible code

Package & Remuneration
R35,000 to R40,000 per month (negotiable based on experience)
